Instructions for Applying for Student Teaching

We are not currently accepting Student Teaching applications. If you wish to apply for student teaching, your next chance will be to attend one of the meetings in the Spring of 2011

  1. Consult with your advisor/program coordinator about appropriate placement options.
  2. Navigate to http://tk20.indstate.edu
  3. Login to your account. If you have problems with this step, contact Ryan Hamilton at Education Student Services..
  4. Go to the Applications tab along the top.
  5. On the left-hand menu Create.
  6. From the drop-down menu, choose Student Teaching Application Form for the semester in which you plan to student teach.
  7. After filling out the information on this form, push Submit when you are ready to turn it in. You can push Save instead if you want more time to change the information, but we can not review your application until it has been submitted.
  8. Once you have filled out the information on the Application, follow the link at the bottom to open the Student Teaching Placement Résumé.
  9. Fill out the Student Teaching Placement Résumé in Word and save it to your computer.
  10. Go to your myISU portal.
  11. Go to the Student Tab along the top and follow the Academic Transcripts link. Choose Undergraduate in the Transcript Level dropdown, and then press Submit.
  12. Make five paper copies of your Student Teaching Placement Résumé and your Transcript. After signing each Student Teaching Placement Résumé, attach a transcript to each one with paperclips, not staples, creating five application packets. Turn these packets into Education Student Services (University Hall, Room 115) before the deadline.
