Scholarships

The Department of Elementary, Early Childhood and Special Education offers a wide variety of scholarships to facilitate the financial needs of the deserved. Undergraduate and graduate students may apply for any available scholarships if they have been admitted to the Teacher Education Program (TEP) of Elementary, Early and Special Education Department and meet the requirements of a 2.5 GPA, meet the criteria for the scholarship and are registered as a full time student. Applications may be submitted any time during the fall and spring semesters to meet the deadline of March 1. Selected recipients will be notified and presented with the scholarship at the annual College of Education Honor Day. Contact the EESE office for further information.

Israel & Amanda Love Memorial Female - Elementary Education major3.0 GPA - Completed freshman year. One-page statement of your professional goals and educational beliefs
Ione Shaul Nehf Memorial Major in Early Childhood Ed., Kdg/Primary, OR Elementary Ed with a Kdg Endorse 3.0 GPA. 2 letters of support regarding potential of becoming an effective teacher divided between fall and spring semesters. One-page statement of your professional goals and educational beliefs 
Edgar M. Tanruther Major in K/P OR Elementary Education 3.0 GPA - Junior or Senior Standing Financial need. One-page statement of your professional goals and educational beliefs 
Pearman Sharp Endowed Upper classman OR graduate level. First preference given to Elementary Education majors with a reading endorsement amount divided between fall and spring semesters. One-page statement of your professional goals and educational beliefs

Consideration for expenditures from the John Luce Endowed Award shall be based on the needs of the Special Education Program
Eva Chipper Memorial (1) Elementary education major with an interest in the arts or humanities, (2) Junior, senior or graduate status.
