What is the Math Resource Library?

The Math Resource Library was developed by ISU Faculty, Dr. Marylin Leinenbach, Assistant Professor, Elementary/Early/Special Education, Bayh College of Education and Dr. Elizabeth Brown, Assistant Professor, Mathematics and Computer Science, College of Arts & Sciences. These professors had a vision to create a library so resources would be available especially to Pre-Service and First-Year teachers in the elementary, middle, and high school levels during their first year of classroom teaching.  Although the library was developed to provide resources for those teachers, it is open to all grade levels of teachers and parents.

What does the library have available?

The library currently has over 1000 mathematics resource materials available; materials will be added periodically to the library.

Some of the resource materials available for check-out are: Mathematics/Literature Books, Storybooks, Teacher Resource Books, Manipulatives, Software, Graphing Calculator, and Mathematical Games.

Who may utilize the library?

Materials in the library have been compiled as a resource for: Pre-Service/First Year Teachers, Practicing Teachers, and Parents.

You must complete an information card and all persons who have an ISU "991" identification must show a valid ISU I.D. card.  Because a limited number of copies of these books and materials are available for loan, a borrower may check out a limited number of items at any one time. If materials are lost, damaged, or not returned to the library by the due date, the borrower assumes responsibility for the full replacement cost of the materials.
