This intervention program is designed for children in grades 2 and 3 who experience problems learning to read. The focus of the program is to increase decoding skills using methods such as phonological awareness training and interactive computer writing. As much as possible game-like activities are used. Progress is evaluated systematically and the student/teacher ratio is 2:1 or 3:1.
Instructors are graduate students under the supervision of Damon Krug, Ph.D.
