| The professional development session for
participating kindergarten teachers was scheduled on November
13, 2006, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM at Deming Elementary School.
The agenda for the session includes: |
- A brief overview of Project BEST
- Research review on successful kindergarten
- transitionsImplementation activities that kindergarten
teachers were involved with
The Project BEST also provide a book Successful Kindergarten
Transition: Your Guide to Connecting Children, Families and
Schools, by Robert C. Pianta and Marcia Kraft-Sayre, to
participating kindergarten teachers. |

Your Child: Helping Your Child be Ready for Kindergarten |
| The forum consisted of a kindergarten teacher,
a parent of a child who is entering kindergarten and has just
completed kindergarten, an ISU faculty member- Dr. Bauserman,
and Karen Harding, the director of CASY to discuss the problems
or situation children may have in the process of transition,
forum was held at the Landsbaum Center, Union Hospital. |
